April Poole, Director of Rhema Christian AcademyApril Poole is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and a product of Atlanta Public Schools where she graduated from Benjamin E. Mays High School.  During this time she also worked as a camp counselor with City of Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation.  This required her to instruct classes in cheerleading, gymnastics, dance, and arts and crafts.  It was during this time that God revealed His purpose for her life…to work with children. 

April decided teaching was the best way to directly impact the lives of children.  Upon graduation high school, she attended West Georgia College and obtained a Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree specializing in Middle Grades Education.  In addition, she worked as a counselor for freshman students, a math tutor at

various middle schools in Carrollton and on campus, and a media liaison in the library at West Georgia College. She also participated in various service organizations and the United Voices Gospel Choir.  April was also active in the church where she participated in a variety of ministries.

After graduating from West Georgia College, she began her career as an educator at W. L. Parks Middle School where she taught Math, Science, and Social Studies over the course of seven years.  In recognition of her efforts, she was awarded Teacher of the Year after her third year as a teacher and was also supervisor of the After School Program, Cheerleading Squad, and Media Center Committee.  Her educational career spans fifteen years.  Currently she works at McClure Middle School in Paulding County and Sylvan Learning Center.  April participates on the Leadership Team, Hospitality Committee, Special Education Intervention Committee, and Intramurals Program at McClure Middle School.  April believes in lifetime learning, as such, she has also earned a Leadership Certificate from Kennesaw State University and is currently matriculating towards a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Argosy University.

She now desires to work as director of Rhema Christian Academy to offer her leadership abilities, experience educating children, and passion for serving Christ.
